1970年出生的张欣刚，本科毕业于清华大学材料系，后赴美深造获得南加州大学材料科学博士学位。毕业后，他先后在Luminent、Source Photonics等国际光通信企业担任研发职务。2010年首次回国创业，但因多重因素未能成功；2013年，他在陕西咸阳重新创立源杰有限（源杰科技前身），开启二次创业历程。
